  • To see: a moat, and Arlington Reservoir.
  • ALWAYS follow the Greenlane Code!
Starting from its western end, where it joins Sessingham Lane, this overgrown BOAT is blocked halfway along its length by the shoddy and mistaken provision of a footbridge over the River Cuckmere. As such, motorised vehicles can no longer use this byway. Avoid.

An ancient (probably Anglo-Saxon) moat lies just to the north of the footbridge, on the eastern side of the River Cuckmere. For those interested in fishing, or simply in a nice walk in beautiful countryside, Arlington Reservoir will not disappoint.

This is why you won't get through!
