This pleasant (if bumpy) little lane, starting at it's southern end in Little Shoddesden, follows a field boundary in a northerly direction and offers beautiful views over the rolling chalk downland to the west.
However, the Andover-Ludgershall Military Depot railway (which is the old Midland and South Western Junction Railway) does not provide a level crossing for this byway and instead the engineers installed a gate for a footpath instead. As such, it is a dead end and a pointless drive. Make it a part of a nice country walk instead!
