This BOAT, which takes the form of a 'D', follows the boundary of a small area of common land in the village of East Clandon. Turning off of Ripley Road onto a grassy surface the lane heads east for around 200m, at which point it turns sharply south west as it reaches the boundary of Fullers Farm and Hatchlands Park, a National Trust property containing Admiral Boscawen's palatial mansion. The lane follows the boundary for around 150m, where it turns west and becomes a driveway.
This is such a short lane, so easy going, and in a residential area, that there really isn't much point in driving it unless you have a genuine reason to do so! As such, it doesn't score very highly. Instead, visit the Queen's Head in the village. A great country pub with excellent food, and a better selection of beers, the only fault I could ascribe to it is that it is ever-so-slightly expensive.
