There's nothing remarkable about this 200m lane. It consists of a very short stretch of BOAT surfaced in dirt (ironically, there is no sand to be seen anywhere!) that leads south from the A25 to Sheephouse Lane. A copse borders the lane on it's western side, and pasture to it's east. It's very easy going and there's no real chance of damaging either your car or the lane.
The only real reason to drive it is as a prelude, or a warm-up if you will, to driving Wolvens Lane. After all, it's better to be off road than on it!

Sandy Lane, according to Surrey's List of Streets.
Updated, with thanks. Incidentally, where did you find a copy of Surrey's List of Streets? It's not publicly available either in print or online as far as I know. It's be invaluable for this project!
