This very short UCR scores as high as a two simply because it offers an incredible view over the Meon Valley towards Portsmouth. Starting southwards from as a wide gravel track from Droxford Road, a hedge borders the lane on the left, and a wire fence on the right which offers a beautiful vista southwards across rolling hills. After SU671190, the lane is reclassified as a 'yellow' country road as it skirts around Coombe Wood (hence my naming of this UCR. If you know its correct name, please let me know!). However, although the surface is indeed tarmaced, it is in such a poor state of repair that it may as well be listed as a UCR! The UCR Grove Lane joins Combe Lane at SU670177. Both are worth a drive on a sunny day.
