We drove this very short BOAT from south to north. It's pretty overgrown, but only with this summer's growth. By that I mean that the encroaching foliage consists mainly of stinging nettles, bracken and dock leaves as opposed to older, more woody or thorny growth that would scratch the bejeezus out of one's paintwork. The grassy surface occasionally gives way to bare earth which in wet weather would turn into shallow puddles, but no difficulty should be experienced whilst driving this lane, even on road-biased tyres. Other than it being a pleasant drive between fields when the hedgerows that line the lane lapse, there is really nothing else remarkable about this lane.

Nearby, to the south-west, lies the ancient hill-fort of Bury Hill, which not only saw use continuing well into the Roman period, but also served as the camp for the famous King Canute in his war against the Anglo-Saxon King Edmund Ironside during the Battle of Andover way back in 1016. There is still a substantial earthen rampart and ditch remaining and it's worth a walk around the perimeter if you are interested in history.
