We wish the best of luck to the Trail Rider's Fellowship in their quest to oppose this measure!
This byway is subject to a TRO, and not just any TRO, but a 'super-TRO'. It's closed to absolutely everyone, even pedestrians! I shudder to think what precedent that sets... A real shame though, as along with Jennie Green Lane, Bullfield Lane and Dirty Lane this used to be a great little network of byways that we called the 'Rushmoor Pond Network'. It's gated off and is closed to vehicles until at least the 30th May 2013. What happens after that remains to be seen, but we shall keep our ear to the ground.
To Hampshire County Council this is Byway 17 and part of Byway 24, combined here for convenience.

21.08.15. A permanent MPV TRO is planned for this road. The TRF will fight to oppose it.
Thanks for the valuable update, DIGGER9287! We've updated the post with your findings and if we can be of any assistance please don't hesitate to ask.
TRF have successfully kept this route open to trail bikes! Ride responsibly!
And in that case, we thank the TRF for their diligence and persistence. Respect where it's due.
